2011 Voluntary Separation Program
President's Cabinet
In light of the serious fiscal situation facing us and in an attempt to
avoid more drastic measures, the college will again offer a Voluntary
Separation Program. All full-time tenured faculty and all professional
employees (with both permanent appointment and 10 years of service OR those
in an Appendix A title who have received at least one five-year renewal)
will be eligible to apply.
Under the program, faculty would be granted leave with full pay for the Fall
2011 semester prior to the effective date of their resignation which must
take place between December 21, 2011 and December 31, 2011. Professionals
would be granted a six-month leave with full pay prior to their effective
date of resignation, which must take place sometime between October 1, 2011
and December 31, 2011.
Those interested in participating in the program must file the application
of intent (attached) with the Office of Human Resource Services by April 1,
2011. The Cabinet will consider all applications.
Those selected will be notified on or before May 16, 2011. For more
