High Capacity Mobile Internet
Today, high-speed Internet is everywhere. And let’s face it, speed
matters. HCMI (High Capacity Mobile Internet) is a multi-modem,
multi-carrier Wi-Fi solution, allowing users to harness highbandwidth and throughput in mobile and vehicle applications.
HCMI uses a load balancing system capable of supporting the highbandwidth consuming activities we’ve all become accustomed to
and brings that experience to a mobile environment.
How it Works
HCMI provides Public/Private transportation organizations the
ability to offer passengers mobile Wi-Fi networks capable of
video streaming and multi-user web browsing, all while keeping
organizations connected with their mobile assets.
Designed for multi-carrier operation, HCMI is optimized to take
advantage of overlapping coverage footprints and provide
redundancy in areas with poor signal. Available in 2, 3, 4, or 5
modem configurations, HCMI offers redundant 3G/4G broadband
connections with automatic failover in areas with coverage gaps.
And with HCMI enabled mobile command vehicles, public safety
organizations now respond to critical situations with high-capacity
broadband, supporting live video, voice, and data sharing for
emergency personnel.
In areas with poor signal strength, HCMI uses failover logic
to choose the modem with the best connection to continue
uninterrupted service; mitigating outages, congestion, interference
and coverage gaps.
