Lockable storage
space can be created by
adding optional doors to
bottom portion of cart and
screwing bottom shelf in
place. 53"H cart accommodates one door and 65"H
cart accommodates two
doors—one on each side.
Tip: Totes cannot be used
in lockable storage applications. Height of bottom shelf,
combined with 33⁄4" lower lip,
does not provide the 11"
necessary to accommodate
totes.
Large casters provide
mobility to the cart. A locking mechanism allows the
casters to be locked to prevent the cart from rolling.
Tip: For ease of mobility, it is
recommended that carts not
be loaded with more than
240 pounds.
Lock is available with
random, consecutive, or
specific keying option.
Master-keyed lock is
available.

Cleaning
Wiping with a damp
cloth will remove general
soiling and water-borne
stains. If needed, use a hardsurface, all-purpose cleaner
such as Formula 409,
Fantastik, Top Job, Mr.
Clean, etc. Some oil-borne
stains may require the use
of a dry-cleaning fluid or
naphtha. To fill scratches
in wood grain laminate tops,
use an oak, walnut, or
mahogany putty stick (available at paint supply and
hardware stores).

All locks are designated
with key numbers. You can
specify a key number; however, if you don’t specify a
key number, the locks in
your order will be keyed
randomly.
Two types of locks are
available—the standard
keying system (FR series)
and the master keying system (XF series). All the
locks in the XF series can
be opened with a single
master key.
Front-removable locks
have a cylindrical shape
and can be installed or
removed in the field with
a special tool. This feature
allows you to field install
locks after the furniture is
installed to eliminate the
need to keep track of each
furniture unit’s lock number
during installation.
Tip: When specifying furniture with the lock-notinstalled option, be certain
to specify a lock color number (Polished Chrome or
Ember Chrome) for the lock
face ring.
Tip: You can change factoryinstalled lock cylinders in the
field by using the appropriate lock tool.

Standard Keying
Key random means that
the locks will be assigned
arbitrarily at the factory with
key numbers ranging from
FR305 through FR454.
Unless you specify otherwise, the factory will assign
key numbers randomly.
Tip: Random keying can
mean that different furniture
units will have the same key
number. If you must have all
locks keyed differently, you
should specify key numbers
for all locks.

Order enough lock
cylinders to fill each lock ..
location that you have spec- ..
..
ified as “plug”. You must
..
also order a lock tool.
Tip: Lock tools are reusable. ..
..
You don’t need to order
..
additional lock tools with

every furniture order.
..
..
Lock cylinders and the
..
installation tool will be
..
shipped separately so that
..
you can install the locks
..
when you are ready.
..
..
..
..
..
..
..
.
Step 2
To specify lock cylinders, list the total number
of lock cylinders
that you want with the
appropriate style number. If
you are specifying key numbers, list the breakdown of
the quantity of each key
number.
