ABC TECHNICIAN REGISTRATION ABC technician registration is awarded as an attestation of competency for the public, those who require orthotic/prosthetic services, and those in other health professions. The awarding of ABC technician registration provides the registered technician with an appropriate and meaningful recognition of professional competence. Eligibility Requirements: Candidates for ABC technician registration may meet one of two pathways. A complete description of the eligibility requirements may be found in the Technician Book of Rules. Pathway 1: Completion of an NCOPE accredited orthotic and/or prosthetic technician program.-that is why we have submitted our letter of intent. Pathway 2: Two years of technician experience in the discipline seeking registration under the direct supervision of an ABC certified practitioner. Fees: Application: $50 Examination: $200 per discipline Technician Exam Cycles: There are three technician exam cycles, Spring, Summer and Fall of each year. Application Deadline Dates: There are three application deadlines each year, the deadlines for the technician examination are typically 8 weeks prior to the examination date.
