everything. Rachel was right at the welcoming
when she said that everything you say is true.
You have taught me so much about how to live
a better life and become closer to God. I open the
Bible now and know that God will tell me something
that I am looking for. Whenever there is doubt or anxiety or concern, I look for
God’s voice in Mathew as you said, and every time it has worked for me. You have
shown me that ministry doesn’t end after High School and that God does not
leave you after you leave Spellman. You taught me how to open up and give my

Cardinal Spellman 2011 -2012 Golf Classic
The 2011 -2012 Legacy Gala
This year’s annual Golf Classic was held at LeBaron Hills Country Club in
Lakeville on June 18, 2012 was once again, thanks to the efforts of the Committee and supporters, very successful. This year’s event honored several
new members of The Athletic Hall of Fame. Honorees included Mr. Ray
Richard ‘67, four time Thorny Lee Golf Club Champion, Corey Welch,
Division II State Golf Champion at Spellman, Jill (Sands) Lefferts, All
Scholastic and Team MVP for soccer and softball at Spellman and Ms.
Dorothy Lynch, Principal, Ms. Jane Connor, Mathematics Teacher for
the dedication to the success of the Athletes over the years. Net proceeds
will exceed $30,000.
Granite Links Golf Club at Quarry Hills in Quincy was the upscale location for
2011 2012 Legacy Gala event. Over 385 people attended the event making it
the most well attended Gala in Spellman’s history.
“Sequere Deum” Honorees for this year included Father Oscar Pratt II,
Deacon Joe Nickley ‘75 and Mrs. Rhonda Nickley, Tom Kenney ‘69 and
Jon Lemieux ’87.
