Judge: Gregory A. Scott
Originally from Macon, GA, Greg completed a BFA with a concentration in painting from East Carolina University in
Greenville, NC. He is currently the Art Director and Coordinator for The Cornwell Center, a holistic community center in
Charlotte, NC. Greg has exhibited at the Greenville Museum of Art, Greenville, NC, Mint Museum of Craft and Design,
Charlotte NC, North Carolina Museum of Fine Art, Raleigh, NC and The McColl Center for Visual Art, Charlotte, NC.
He has worked as scenic painter and designer and completed several public art installations in Charlotte, NC. He is
currently developing new work that explores the boundaries between drawing, painting and ceramic medium. “The
transitions from one medium to the next allow a wealth of experiences to choose the solutions for the form and content of
a chosen subject. After the transitions are made and an idea is realized, we are left with the bridges that we crossed and the
experience gained.”
