The objective of this 3 hour session is to help private bankers feel more confident about initiating conversations with clients about wealth planning. Participants will gain
relevant and practical insights on how they can be better positioned and differentiated from the competition, by adopting a more holistic approach to their clients' needs,
through wealth planning solutions.
Each life stage has unique challenges and opportunities. By understanding a client's needs and values and designing wealth planning solutions with their best interests
in mind, participants will learn how to engage their clients and their families to help them attain their long term objectives of wealth preservation, inter-generational
wealth transfer and succession planning. Participants will be taught how to identify their client's latent wealth planning needs and to develop solutions through an
in-depth coverage of topics such as inter vivos gifts, wills, companies, trusts and foundations .
This topic makes extensive use of real life case studies focusing on Asian families, to reinforce the application of wealth planning concepts and solutions.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER
CHAN EE LIN
An award-winning trust, estate and wealth planner with extensive Asia-Pacific expertise and over 20 years of experience in the finance sectors of Singapore, Hong Kong,
Geneva and Luxembourg. Ee Lin provides highly tailored multi-jurisdictional succession and estate planning solutions for high net worth individuals and family
businesses, typically using structures such as trusts, charitable foundations, companies, partnerships, private trust companies and bespoke insurance policies and
wrappers.
Currently Adjunct Faculty at Singapore Management University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Ee Lin also develops content for and teaches multiple programs at
Temasek’s Wealth Management Institute while running her own wealth planning consultancy for high net worth clients.
Most recently, Ee Lin was Head of Wealth Planning at Coutts and spearheaded the bank’s philanthropy advisory service in Asia. She won the RBS Wealth Management
Excellence award in 2008 from a global field of 600 nominations.
Her prior experience includes CEO and Regional Head roles at Clariden Trust Company (Singapore), ABN AMRO Private Banking, Bankers Trust Company and the Monetary
Authority of Singapore; and she has held board director roles at both for-profit and non-profit organisations in Singapore. As the Immediate Past President of the Financial
Women’s Association Singapore (FWA), Ee Lin currently serves on the boards of FWA, BoardAgender, World Wide Fund for Nature, and Charities Aid Foundation. A full
member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP) who has served on several sub-committees of STEP Singapore, Ee Lin also has served on the Government
Parliamentary Committee for Finance and Trade since 2009.
Married with one son, Ee Lin holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Stanford University and an MBA in International Wealth Management from Carnegie Mellon
University, Tepper School of Business.
