2. "Shore Acres, Oregon Coast" by Ruth Hickok Schubert
This original painting combines watercolor and acrylic mediums to create a unique textured affect. A
lover of the Oregon landscapes, Ruth has captured the essence of the coastal environment. Ruth
Hickok Schubert is a longtime Rogue Valley artist and member of the Northwest Watercolor Society.

4. "Crop Circles" by Virginia Andrade
Virginia Andrade, now in her 80s, is one of the most experimental and curious artists in the valley! This
abstract painting was created in 2010 when she was exploring a new material, Yupo paper. Yupo is a
non-porous paper that does not absorb paint resulting in vibrant colors and rich textures.
Andrade says of this work, "If you have seen the amazing images of vast wheat fields imprinted with
intricate patterns, you will understand the inspiration for my piece, Crop Circles.”

8. Bronze Sculpture by Tom Hardy
This cast and welded bronze sculpture is a unique early work created by Tom Hardy, renowned
Oregon artist. It is signed by the artist and was created between 1965 and 1972.
Sculptor Tom Hardy is one of the best known names among Portland artists. After more than a half a
century of work, exhibitions and commissions, his reputation is as large as some of his sculptures. Tom
likes to work in stainless steel, bronze, and just about any metal that allows him the freedom to
improvise. Hardy is widely known for his abstract metal sculptures. Born in 1921, his productive and
lengthy artistic life was featured on Oregon Art Beat in 2005.

14. “Jacob’s Ladder II” by Nancy Jo Mullen
While living in East Africa, artist Nancy Jo Mullen became intrigued with Coptic Christian symbolism.
"Jacob’s Ladder II" depicts some of these symbols - the snake is considered a good omen and the
ladder represents a pathway to Heaven. Made of welded steel, this sculpture can be mounted
indoors or outdoors. (The artist is available to assist with the siting and mounting.)

15. Italian Wine 101
Experience the Italian landscape and learn about its wine with Tom Kelly, National Educator for Small
Vineyards, based out of Portland. Up to 14 guests will travel an ecological journey of Italy’s wine styles
and regions at Medford’s favorite taste kitchen, Downtown Market Co. with host Nora LaBrocca. This
taste experience will include 6-8 artisan Italian wines presented and paired with three delectable
courses. Exclamations of ‘Mama Mia’ will be uttered, and brains and bellies will be sated by the end

16. Stoneware Vessel by Peter Karner
“I’m intrigued by the marriage of form and decoration. In striving to integrate these in each pot, I
have the opportunity to create work that is both timeless and modern,” offers Karner.
This unique wheel-thrown and altered stoneware vessel was created by southern Colorado artist
Peter Karner. The potter has received acclaim for his nuanced glaze surfaces, which are the result of
four different technical and chemical processes in his glazing and firing process.

19. “Improvisation” by Christina Sodano Aitchinson
Christina Sodano Aitchinson provocative mixed media painting, Improvisation, is influenced by her
love of Picasso, Miro, and Kandinsky. Aitchinson developed her vibrantly colored and highly textured
style through years as a fine artist and graphic designer. Her work is held in some of the finest hotels
and casinos in Las Vegas, Atlantic City, and New York.
