Afrikaans
(Eerste Addisionele Taal)
This term we will cover Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 in the textbook. ( Afrikaans Sonder Grense or ASG for short). We will also continue to read Afrikaans Readers. This is important to enhance sentence structures, comprehension and understanding.
(Chapter 3: Vrolike families)
(Happy families)
(Chapter 4: Naomi se ouma)
(Naomi

During lessons we discuss various language structures, rules and application thereof. Once the children understand the rules they will get tasks to complete. These tasks also form part of the continuous assessment for the term.
The focus for the term is to improve: reading listening conversational skills.
The children will also have to prepare an oral this term. The topic: My Family
This topic was chosen, because it is familiar to the children (in their own language). I will help them in class to write the orals.
