Neil Cochrane obtained a MA in Afrikaans Literature and a BA (Hons) in Publishing
Studies from the University of Pretoria. He is a regular contributor to academic
journals such as Tydskrif vir Letterkunde and Stilet. From 2004 he acted as compiler
and commissioning editor of various Afrikaans short story anthologies focusing on
contemporary South African issues on behalf of Actua Press. He is currently
employed as a senior visiting lecturer in South African Studies at the Department of
Dutch and Afrikaans Language, Literature and Culture, Adam Mickiewicz University,
Poland.
