Zephyr Photonics Adds Senior Marketing Talent From Prime
Contractor, Hiring Trevor Bushell as Senior Vice President of
Business Development
Zephyr Cove, NV – July 28, 2015 – Zephyr Photonics, Inc. today announced an addition to its
senior management team to advance its growth plans. The company has hired Trevor Bushell
as Senior Vice President of Business Development. Bushell will be the 2nd addition this year to
Zephyr’s senior management from Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems (SAS), as the
company scales its growth. Mr. Bushell was responsible for International Business
Development & Capture for Raytheon’s Multi-spectral Targeting Systems (MTS). Bushell
will focus on expanding the company’s business development efforts in the global defense
industry now that the company’s innovative and patented line of optoelectrronics solutions are
available.
Bushell joined Zephyr after over 40 years of diverse experience managing government defense
programs and business development operations for world-class aerospace and defense
companies. For the last four years, he was responsible for International Business Development
& Capture for Raytheon’s Space and Airborne Systems, working in its EO/IR, MTS and DAS
businesses. Prior to that, he worked at BAE Systems for over 38 years in a variety of business
development, flight test & engineering positions for domestics and international programs.

defense programs as those programs look to unlock the benefits of fiber optics. Zephyr’s sales
pipeline grows weekly as programs become aware of our unique capabilities to quickly transition
their programs from copper to our unique fiber optic interconnect solutions,” said Duane
Louderback, President and CTO. He added, “We anticipate continued increasing demand for
our optical transceiver and fiber/media conversion solutions, which enable migration from legacy
copper to optical interconnects for space, airborne, maritime and terrestrial applications.”
Zephyr is the pioneering leader in the development and supply of ruggedized, electrically
pluggable, active optical cables (AOCs) for space, airborne, maritime and terrestrial
applications. These high-value, low-cost cable assemblies have the same electrically pluggable
38999 connectors as the legacy copper cables. They also implement the conversion of the
electrical signals to/from optical in the compact connector backshells integrated directly with
ruggedized fiber optic cabling.

receiving all the benefits of a fiber optical cable, including substantial improvements in SWaP,
EMI resilience, and bandwidth over distance,” explained Louderback.
