Dear Parents,
Whew! Last week was a busy one with the end of the first six weeks and all the homecoming activities.
There are many people to thank for such an enjoyable homecoming. Thank you to the cheerleaders and
their sponsors for a spirited pep rally and sidelines! Thank you to the Ex Students Association for a very
enjoyable meeting honoring the class of 1965 on Saturday. Thank you to Teisha Childers for organizing
the parade on Saturday afternoon. Thank you to the Senior class for the wonderful brisket luncheon.
Thank you also to Robert, Mary, Leisha, Margarita, Tylan, Freddy, Mary Jane, and Dale for the extra
cleaning, painting, and landscaping. Most of all, thank you to all the teachers, parents, ex-students, and
Wildcat fans, who attended homecoming events and supported the Wildcats in so many ways. Thank
you all!
Congratulations to band sweetheart, Megan Wilson and band beau, Ryan Dudley! Congratulations also
to football sweetheart, Rylee Edwards and football beau, Krispin Froese! These are four outstanding
young people and well deserve the recognition and honor awarded them by their peers.
Report cards will go out on Wednesday and the awards assembly for Kindergarten through third grade
will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Students will receive recognition for perfect attendance, A
and A-B honor roll, and Accelerated Reading as well as special awards from teachers.
The Junior High Wildcats play Zephyr here on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. Come out and cheer for the
Wildcats and have a delicious hamburger at the Wildcat Band concession. Travel with the Varsity
Wildcats on Friday to back them as they take on the Zephyr Bulldogs at 7:30 at Zephyr Stadium. We love
our Wildcats!
Donkey basketball returns to the Wildcat gym next Monday, October 12th. See the flyer enclosed in your
child’s Monday folder for details. It’s going to be lots of fun!
Make it a great week!
