join forces to develop new defense and security technologies
PONCA CITY, OK (May 22, 2012) – University Multispectral
Laboratories (UML), a not-for-profit research, development,
test, evaluation and training (RDT&E) institution serving a
growing number of government agencies and military
commands, announced today that it has entered into a
business collaboration agreement with Navmar Applied
Sciences Corporation (NASC), Inc. to pursue joint scientific
and commercialization projects for a wide range of potential
defense, homeland security and energy technologies.

Founded as public-private partnership in 2006 by the State of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University,
UML has become one of the nation’s leading high-security scientific assets for development and
evaluation of advanced sensors, unmanned aviation systems and other technologies. As the only
“trusted agent” lab of its kind, the government-owned/contractor-operated UML does not own or take
an interest in intellectual property, giving customers full confidence in the unbiased integrity of the
research and evaluation work done by the institution’s team of top scientists.
With the new cooperation agreement, UML will expand on a number of research and development
opportunities stemming from the lab’s already considerable working relationship with NASC, a
renowned professional engineering services company that provides the Department of Defense and
other organizations with specialized technologies in a number of areas, including acoustics, air vehicles,
electro-optics, software and systems integration.

About Navmar Applied Sciences
Since its inception in 1977, Navmar Applied Sciences Corporation (NASC) has provided engineering and
technical services in support of the Department of Defense. NASC began by providing highly specialized
acoustics engineering and analysis support to the Naval Air Warfare Center in Warminster, Pennsylvania.
