November 3 – November 7 Created by: Ms. Alexa Monday: On Monday, our class will exercise our story comprehension skills. Premade picture cards of nursery rhymes will be provided. We will recite a poem to the children several times encouraging them to say the words along with us. As we repeatedly say the poem, our class will attempt to find the correct photo to finish the rhyme. For example – Hey diddle diddle, the cat (cat card shown) and the__________? Our class will find the “matching” fiddle. Tuesday: On Tuesday, our older infants will pretend to be shepherds. They will sort their flock of sheep into big and little groups. Skills – math: size, sorting Wednesday: Show & Share Day! Just like “Little Jack Horner,” our class will be making “Plum Pies.” Using a mini paper plate and brown construction paper, we will use our thumbs dipped in paint as plums to fill our pies. Skills - Using supplies/materials, small motor, oral expression. Thursday: Share A book Day! When discussing our letter of the week, we will color an “A is for Apple” template and talk about other words that start with the letter A. Friday: As mostly visual learners, we will spend some time on Friday viewing short nursery rhymes and discussing their meanings. There are so many nursery rhymes!
