Entrance Requirements
This is a limited access, limited enrollment program. Students are admitted Fall semester only. Special application required.
Deadline February 1. One-half of the prerequisite courses must be completed at time of application, including three (3) science courses.
All prerequisites must be completed with “C” or higher prior to enrollment. Students admitted based on quality of applicant’s academic
achievement and space available. Transfer students will be selected based on the following criteria: 1) Completion of an AA degree from
a Florida public community college or state university (with minimum acceptable cumulative GPA of 3.0); 2) completion of required prerequisites with a minimum 3.0
average in prerequisite sciences, and minimum of 2.0 in each prerequisite; 3) presentation of ACT or SAT scores. Availability of faculty and clinical resources will
determine the number of students to be admitted. Students not accepted initially may apply the following fall. Admitted students required to submit results of a health
examination, immunization record, proof of student malpractice insurance, and a two-year certification in CPR, and criminal background check.
FSU WILL DENY ADMISSION TO ANY STUDENT WHO HAS NOT SATISFIED THE STATE FOREIGN LANGUAGE ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENT.
FSU requires competency in oral communications for graduation. If students took a speech course in high school or were members of a debate team, they may exempt
this requirement. If not, students should take SPC 2608 at Chipola to satisfy this requirement.
Effective Fall 2011, FSU will be undergoing a transition to freshman admissions. A limited number of spaces at the junior level beginning in Fall 2013 will be available for
upper division and transfer students with competitive GPAs and SAT scores.
