LIFESTYLES HEALTHCHOICE NEWSLETTER SEPTEMBER 2014 Recipe Corner: Schedule Your Biometric Screenings Zucchini and Red Pepper Frittata Ingredients: 1 large red bell pepper 1 tablespoon of olive oil 1 large zucchini, thinly sliced 3/4 cup 2% milk 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 4 ounces of white shredded cheddar cheese 4 large eggs, lightly beaten 1. Preheat broiler. Cut bell pepper in half lengthwise, and place on foil-lined baking sheet skin sides up. Broil for 8 minutes. Wrap pepper in foil, let stand for 15 minutes. Peel and slice. 2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. 3. Heat a 9 inch oven proof skillet over medium high heat. Add oil and zucchini. Cook for 6 minutes. Stir in bell pepper. Reduce heat to medium. 4. Combine remaining ingredients in a large bowl. Add to zucchini mixture; cook 2 minutes or until edges are set. Bake at 350 degrees. Let stand for 15 minutes. Cut into 6 wedges. Biometric screenings will be available for Orlando Health team members on the Healthchoice medical plan at select outpatient laboratories September 15 through November 7. You can register for one of the many screening appointments available on the SWIFT News Center by clicking on the banner ad, beginning September 2. When you arrive for your appointment, please have your completed lab order form printed during registration, your driver’s license and your Healthchoice insurance card. The Orlando Health laboratories recommend a twelve-hour fast prior to the screening for accurate readings. Incentives for completing the screenings this year include: $10 “voucher” for Walgreens for participation $15 medical premium savings per bi-weekly pay period If team members fall within required ranges in three out of four of the following measures: Blood Pressure (Under 140/90) BMI (Under 24.9) Cholesterol (Under 200) Triglycerides (Under 150) Team members whose lab results are outside of the required ranges will have the opportunity to enroll in the free Healthchoice health management programs and repeat the biometric screenings in spring 2015. If it is unreasonably difficult due to a medical condition for a team member to achieve the standards for the reward under this program, or if it is medically inadvisable for them to attempt to achieve the standards for the reward under this program, they should call the HR Solutions Center at 321-841-8623 and we will work with them to develop another way to qualify for the reward. Healthchoice Welcomes New Team Members Healthchoice welcomes two new Care Management Specialists to the team! Ann Forgacs received her RN from MB Johnson School of Nursing in Elyria, OH and her BA degree from the College of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. Prior to moving to Orlando in 2013, she worked as a caregiver at Sunrise Senior Living in Fleet, England. Currently she is the case manager for cardiovascular, hematology/oncology and organ transplants. An interesting fact about Ann is that she currently holds a private pilot license! Christina Sircar, Tina, is a Registered Nurse from Nashville, TN with a bachelors degree of science in nursing from Florida Hospital. Prior to coming to Orlando Health, Tina had worked in Home Health, Cardiac Telemetry/PCU, Multisystem PCU, Neuro PCU and Orthopedics. Tina is currently the case manager for the health management programs including the Diabetes, Back Pain, Hypertension/Hyperlipidemia, Heart Failure, COPD and Asthma programs. How to Request a Workstation Evaluation If a team member is experiencing pain or discomfort at work and feels it may be related to how his/her workstation is arranged, a request may be made for a workstation evaluation without having to file a workers compensation claim.
