The Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is the commercial, distribution, financial and economic center of Canada. The region as a whole generates nearly 1/5 of the GDP of Canada and is the national headquarters for 40% of Canada’s businesses. With a work force of approximately 2.9 million people, more than 100,000 companies, and a gross domestic product of U.S

$109 billion, the GTA is Canada’s undisputed business and manufacturing capital. Key industry sectors in Toronto include aerospace, financial services, clean energy and environment, biomed/ pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, biotech, and information technology.
