• Andre Farrugia FCII AIRM Chartered Insurance Practitioner
• Initiated insurance career in 1992 working for an insurance
company
• Currently – Director of Studies at MITC
• Visiting lecturer at MCAST
• Obtained the Associateship of the Chartered Insurance
Institute later achieving the Fellowship of the same Institute
• Furthered studies in Risk Management obtaining the
Associateship of the Institute of Risk Management and
currently completing the Fellowship with the same Institute
• Preparing to embark on a PhD on Insurance with Napier
University Scotland

Functions
• MITC serves as the academic body for participants to
obtain certification, diplomas and qualifications
• Provides a professional qualifications ladder
• Provides a stepping stone in obtaining internationally
recognised qualifications (example: The MITC Applied
Insurance Studies Diploma is fully recognised by the
Chartered Insurance Institute, other MITC products
attract CII credits)
• Serves as a medium for prospective employment
• Analysis industry training needs and delivers
programmes to meet these requirements effectively
