Ludlow Medieval Christmas Fayre Saturday 10am - 9pm Saturday 29th & Sunday 30th November 2014 Sunday 10am - 4pm Programme www.ludlowmedievalchristmas.co.uk Welcome It’s that time of year again, welcome to the 16th Ludlow Medieval Christmas Fayre! We delighted to welcome new exhibitors and entertainers, as well as plenty of old friends, to join us in getting the Christmas season started in true Medieval festive style. Explore our marquees and medieval tents with over 100 stalls selling seasonal wares, food and drink, crafts, historical goods and more. Whether you’re looking for the perfect, original gift or indulging yourself with a unique treat, if you’re shopping until you’re dropping, take advantage of the Parcel Creche to keep your hands free for a tasty treat. With a wide range of food and drink stalls to tickle your taste buds, you can grab a mulled wine, a spiced cider or steaming cup of coffee, or why not head over to our local Beer Tent to whet your appetite for our full programme of entertainment. New for 2014... With the bone-crunching Plantagenet Society fighting knights, medieval music, puppetry, dance and fire juggling, there’s entertainment throughout the castle all weekend. And keep an eye open for our 10’ giants! We hope you enjoy our Hands-on History Tent, with activities for knights and damsels young and old, and be sure not to miss out on a visit to St. Nicholas in his magical den. Whether it’s try-on armour, have-a-go archery and cross bow or birds of prey, there is something for all the family to enjoy. Head to the Inner Bailey across the flambeau-lit moat for storytelling, demonstrations and activities, and to enjoy beer, sausages and roast chestnuts inside the Castle ruins. For our fiery Saturday evening opening, join Medieval knights, maidens, entertainers and stall holders as the sun sets across South Shropshire and the castle comes alive for an evening of truly atmospheric fiery medieval revelry. We are having a mass sing along of The Twelve Days of Christmas on Saturday 6.00pm and 8.00pm and Sunday at 3.10pm.
