Middle Ages Castle Project
Dear fourth grade families,
As you probably already know, we are well underway in our second social
studies unit of the year: The Middle Ages. In an effort to expand your child’s
knowledge of Medieval Times, he/she is going to construct a model of a Medieval
Castle.
Possible materials can include, but are not limited to:
Heavy cardboard
Markers
Styrofoam
Cardboard tubes
String
Popsicle sticks
Toothpicks
Tape
Paint
Glue
Construction paper
Students, on the back of this page you will find the specific components
needed for your castle, along with a rubric for how the project will be graded.
There is a lot of creativity and freedom beyond the requirements. You may want to
add windows, steps, scenery, and Medieval characters to your wonderful creation.
The due date for this project is Friday, November 8. Happy building!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Please verify that you have read the attached sheet by signing and returning this form. The form
