IT Linux Network Security Specialist - DL1203 Technology Service Corporation (TSC), an Engineering Services Provider with concentration providing Radar & Sensor technology, Algorithm & Software development, Modeling & Simulation, Test & Evaluation, Element-Level and AEGIS Certification, Systems and System Safety Engineering services to the U.S. Government and industry, is searching for an IT Linux Network Security Specialist to work at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA. General Duties Perform Information Technology Specialist work managing the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, or data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, or enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. This position is subject to the requirements of DOD Manual 8570.01, requiring membership in the Department of Navy Information Assurance Workforce (IAWF) now the Cyber Security Workforce (CSWF). Responsibilities Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: • Providing managerial support to projects and end users on policies or procedures for eliminating information security vulnerabilities as well as instructing personnel on identifying and correcting compromises in information technology systems. • Skilled at providing the required automated network vulnerability scanning, configuration assessment, application vulnerability scanning, and device configuration assessment to ensure SCAP compliance by using the Tenable Network Security Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). • Thorough training and knowledge on the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) for Certification and Accreditation (C&A) on DON information systems. • Direct IT security experience with a broad range of security technologies including but not limited to: (HBSS & SEE) next generation Firewalls (e.g. Web Application - layer 7), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Identity and Access Management (IAM), Threat Intelligence, Governance Risk Compliance (GRC), risk assessments, end points, servers, database, encryption, key & certificate management, virtualization, mobility, and cloud security. • Development of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGS). Required Skills & Qualifications Candidate must possess senior level experience in the private or public sector performing Information Technology Specialist duties managing the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, or data through the planning, analysis, development, implementation, maintenance, or enhancement of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools. • Experience in developing Red Hat and EPEL local repository synchronization process to update offline and cRDTE Red Hat WS. • Candidate must already possess/maintain the required Information Assurance certification and level to be considered for hire. Specific Information Assurance certifications required to support this position include: o CompTIA, Linux+ Certified o CompTIA, Security+ CE Certified o CompTIA, A+ CE Certified o CompTIA, Network+ CE Certified o Cisco Systems CCNA Security Clearance: • Must be a US Citizen • Selected applicant will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements associated with access to classified information • A Secret clearance is required immediately.
