Common European Framework of Reference for Languages Figuring out the level at which to learn a language can be difficult. L’École Française uses the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages: Learning, Teaching, Assessment (CEFR), created by the European Council to ensure the uniformity in teaching and assessment and to remove any uncertainty about which level is best for you.
