One hundred and fourteen (114) marketing doctoral students/candidates/newly-minted
PhDs took our survey. As in past years’surveys, the data analysis is based on marketing
faculty hires in the U.S. who provided salary and job search information (n = 77). The
sample size is lower than that of the 2008 sample (Total n = 119; U.S. n=94).
