Washington, representative from BP Texas City.
Several different organizations and individuals
adopted families for Christmas. Families were
selected through the staff and board members
of the Advocacy Center and wish lists were
provided from the families that were adopted.
Groups that adopted families that are not
pictured are the Board of Directors of the
Advocacy Center and Carol Miller.
We want to send many thanks the Terry Kelly
and the staff at Academy Sports and Outdoors
of Galveston as well as the Financial Advisory
Group from Houston for the many donations
of bikes and toys for the children.

2006 Statistics
Following Simple Rules May
Prevent Child Abuse
According to national statistics, each
day more than three children die as
a result of child abuse or neglect in
the home. On average, a child abuse
report is made every 10 seconds.
Don’t let your children become one
of the statistics.
• Never discipline your child
when your anger is out of control.
