Present 6. Personally Develop PART 1: VISUALIZE YOUR WHY Why Are You Doing Business? ....................................................... Your “why” is your reason for building this business. Picture what your life would look like if health, money, and time were not limiting you. You must commit it to paper. This business is tough and you want to regularly revisit your vision statement to stay motivated. It will serve to remind you what you stand to lose if you quit. “If you don’t have written goals, you’ll work for someone who does.” www.TeamOneBody.com 06 My Commitments & Goals Are: .................... ..................................... These are the typical emotions that all new associates will face while attempting to get their business off the ground. Your “why” and goals are your strongest remedies. You join and get so excited that you start your business without going through training. Your first box of products arrives at your doorstep! You go through the Basic Training Manual & now understand how to do the business. Your mom finds out your products are in the PDR & are also #1 and is very supportive. She becomes your first customer! EVEN KEEL... First presentation: you’re skeptical, unsure and doubtful about the network. Your friends are not thrilled about your so-called “great opportunity” to make money & they say NO! Your parents are angry that you joined a network marketing company and wasted your time and money. www.TeamOneBody.com The first guest you invite flakes on you at the meeting. 07 PART 2: INVITE Who To Look For ........ .......................... Your best prospects are solution-oriented people. Find individuals seeking to improve health, finances, and relationships. Channel your energy towards people in the looking zone. Create Contact List .......... ........................... You cannot build a business without a names list. Write down 20 names to help you get started, categorizing them by one of the following: Business Builders Referral Partners Preferred Customers F.O.R.M. ................ By asking FORM questions, you will discover why your prospects may get started with you. Use FORM to find out what their NEEDS are. F FAMILY & FRIENDS O OCCUPATION How do they like their work? Looking for change? R RECREATION What do they do for fun? M MESSAGE How are their friends and family doing? How will you provide a solution for their need? www.TeamOneBody.com 08 Personality Quadrant ........... ............................ Everyone has certain characteristics that will help motivate them to do the business. Some people have one dominant trait, while others can be a combination of 2 to 3. The best prospects should have all 4 traits: PROMOTER HELPER - Motivated by fun. - Highly social. - Life of the party. - Likes to stand out with attire, hair, make up. - Motivated by helping others. - Sacrificial and very giving. - Often puts others needs/wants ahead of their own. ANALYZER DRIVER - Motivated by being accurate or right. - Detail oriented, factual, exact. - Tends to be frugal and very organized. - Money motivated. - Competitive, goal-oriented, usually takes control, wants to lead. Key Points: The ideal invite is over the phone or the internet. Be enthusiastic! How you say it is more important than what you say. Say less (info) to more (people). DO NOT explain the business. Keep the invite within 5 minutes MAX. Help your friends identify their Why. Talk about the destination, not the vehicle. www.TeamOneBody.com 09 Invite Structure ...... ....................... Greeting - Ask friend if he/she has time to talk. “Do you have a minute?” Prospect - Show urgency by mentioning that you don’t have much time to talk. - Establish the NEED. (Use FORM) Trust Respect Edify the Expert Easy and Light Phrases to Memorize: You - “Take a look” Edify Expert - “This may or may not be for you” - “If I... Would You...” PART 3: PRESENT Presentation Options ........................................ One-on-One with Health and Freedom Newspaper Online videos for long distance prospects Group Event Online/Recorded Webcasts (TeamOneBody.com members-only page.) Subscribe to www.youtube.com/user/USANAHealthSciences Successful leaders learn to give an excellent presentation of our company’s products and business. It may take you a few months to become proficient at giving a top-notch presentation, and you will definitely have to practice. Remember: This business is all about action. Be prolific, not perfect. This means that nothing happens until you share information with people. Don’t wait until you have the “perfect” presentation. “You don’t have to be good to get started. But you have to get started to get good.” www.TeamOneBody.com - Jerry Clark 10 PART 4: FOLLOW-UP & CLOSE “Fortune is in the follow-up” - Jim Rohn Keys To Follow Up ........ .......................... No one will follow up except you! Establish follow-up time before you end your conversation. Follow-up within 24-48 hours. (Law of Diminishing Intent) It takes an average of 4-6 exposures for person to join. Keys To Close ........................... “What did you like best about what you saw/heard?” Put emphasis on OneBody Training System (answer unspoken objection “can I do this?”) You are the expert, lead them to an action step: - Customized or Discount Start-Up Packages Enroll as a Preferred Customer One-time purchase to sample USANA product Additional Follow-up Meeting (3-way call, event, webcast, etc.) www.TeamOneBody.com 11 PART 5: MANAGE TIME For most people, USANA is a part-time business. That usually means 5-10 hours/week. And that’s enough! “Your little habits, little conversations and little actions will add up to BIG changes. Consistency is the key.” - Jordan Kemper Understand the difference between revenue-generating activity and non-revenue-generating activity. Activities . .................. Non-Revenue Generating (10%-20% of time) Revenue Generating (80%-90% of time) - Emails Meeting and FORMing new people (phone #, email, Facebook) - Web Design Making phone calls to people to set presentations (Follow-ups or initial invite calls) - E-Apprentice - Making flyers - Cleaning your office Presenting the USANA Opportunity (Health and/or Wealth) - Planning conference calls 3-way phone calls - Listening to educational CD’s Getting referrals - Attending live events Bringing guests to USANA events - Google or Facebook - Reading Associates that spend 20 hours/week growing their businesses that do not make money are spending their time on non-revenue generating activities. This is the difference between being busy and being productive. Why do people do this? It is because revenue-generating activity makes us face rejection. Most fear this. It is easier to spend our time planning an event, making slides, or surfing the net. We face zero rejection. www.TeamOneBody.com 12 Power Hour ... ..................... Dedicated block of time Absolutely no interruptions Organize before you begin Get your energy up No worrying about your check Focus on serving others Remember to smile Find a dedicated workspace (isolated away from family distractions) Focus and make calls, make calls, make calls. Usually the first call is the hardest. The 2nd call is still tough, but by the 3rd call you get warmed up and get on a roll. That’s when it becomes fun! Get on a roll early! Getting through your calls will make you feel great. Most people procrastinate, and have all this pressure on them. When you focus and get it done, it’s not that bad, and your USANA business grows. You are one step closer to your dreams. Display goals and dream boards (makes the phone lighter) Do not stop until you have exhausted your list, or run out of time PART 6: PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT Building a USANA business will not take years of college, or thousands of dollars of tuition, but it will take consistent time and effort. Developing a going-back-to-school-mentality will be helpful. “All I ask is that you devote just 30 minutes a day to learning. That’s all.” - Jim Rohn The Four Pillars of Belief .............................................. Your results with USANA will directly mirror your confidence of “belief” in 4 basic pillars: Products Company Industry www.TeamOneBody.com You 13 Pillar One: Products . . . . . . . ........................ Pillar Two: Company ........................... . . . . Use products daily. Complete eApprentice. Review Product Training Webinar at TeamOneBody.com. Attend International Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah and regional conventions. “Comparative Guide to Nutritional Supplements”, by Lyle MacWilliams. Upcoming Convention Dates: Hear health testimonials by attending USANA events, webcasts, and conference calls Pillar Three: Industry . . . . . . . ..................... .... This means becoming sincerely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the Direct Sales Industry. If the two concepts: leverage and residual income don’t excite you, you don’t understand the industry! Pillar Four: You ........................ . This is your own personal development process. As you grow, your business grows. It may take a couple of years to “grow a new brain”. Be patient, and stay committed to the process. Use your car as a mobile classroom. “The level of your commitment will be in direct proportion to what you will receive; it’s entirely up to you.” Key experts to study: 1. Jim Rohn 2. Tim Sales 3. There will be days when you think about quitting. Is it worth it - all the rejection and attrition? Here’s the one thing I’d suggest doing: call your bluff. Quit. There, you did it. Just quit. How does it feel? What hope does that decision leave you for a better life? What is your plan now? Put all your eggs in your ”job” basket? Really? How does that feel? Seriously. Take your vision and your goals and let them go? Can you do that? Yes, this business is hard. All good things are upstream. The privileged life is only offered to those who demonstrate hard work, consistency, belief, and highly developed skills. Can you really walk away from the Freedom Principles? Can you say goodbye to continuous cash flow, breaking the time barrier by creating leverage and tax protection? If you can let go, then quit. A USANA business is not for everyone. There is absolutely nothing wrong with remaining in the E or S quadrant. No shame. Personally, whenever I feel like quitting, I go for a ride with Jim Rohn. He reminds me that “profits are better than wages...” Who are your personal leaders that speak to your listening? Get with them. Pick up an encouraging biography of someone you respect. No one accomplishes anything without a significant personal battle. Read that sentence again. Nothing worthwhile comes easy. Nothing. Ask anyone who enjoys time and financial freedom if the challenge was worth it. Call your upline when you’re discouraged. We’ve all been there. And finally, ask God for help. He cares about you. What matters to you matters to Him. Guess what - or better, Guess WHO might even be the very source for the precious dreams of your heart? “ Dr. Steve Hryszczuk, Diamond Director & Co-Founder of OneBody International www.TeamOneBody.com 16 Notes: www.TeamOneBody.com 17
