ROBERT E. ERICKSON VICE PRESIDENT DIRECTOR OF FIELD OPERATIONS With over thirty-five years in the construction industry, Bob Erickson’s construction experience brings extraordinary depth to the project management staff. Beginning his career in the construction trades, he progressed to project supervision and then to project management. Mr. Erickson joined Mercer Construction in 1979 as a project superintendent and has become an integral part of the company’s successful operations. To add to his accomplishments, he has been promoted to Vice President Director of Field Operations. With his vast knowledge of the business and excellent skills, he has continued to successfully manage construction in our Company. Mr. Erickson is responsible for many of Mercer’s larger and more complex projects requiring his outstanding abilities in cost analysis, budgeting, scheduling, supervision, and quality control. He has strong skills in developing and maintaining positive working relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers and regulating agencies. Mr. Erickson’s recent projects include Buena Park Mall, Harbor Center in Costa Mesa, Desert Crossing in Palm Desert, and Centre on Seventeenth. His projects vary in size from $1 million to $55 million and he is responsible for leading and completing many of our successful commercial projects as Design Builder. Mr. Erickson’s previous experience includes nine years in the carpentry, landscaping and concrete trades, and eight years as a commercial construction project superintendent and 20 years as a project manager, senior project manager and vice president. Although much of his expertise is in retail shopping centers, his experience also includes supermarkets, banks, office buildings, hospitals and parking structures.
