To find out more visit callodge.org WELCOME WEEK CALENDAR An Iraq veteran who was a key player in the passage of the new GI Bill credits his "amazing" experience as an ASUC president with many of the successes he has had in his life. Patrick Campbell was ASUC president in the 1999/2000 academic year. He had always wanted to enact social change, and his involvement in the student government was one of his first big steps. The concern and need to help the world around him is a common thread that ties his early Cal experiences to his work with veterans today. He says his time at Cal and his experience at the ASUC gave him an introduction to the larger legislative machinery of Washington, D.C.: "it was an amazing and helpful experience." ...continue reading.
