COMPUTER CRIME WEBSITE ASSIGNMENT Develop an information website that contains a general introduction, factual information, and prevention tips about a type of crime associated with computers, such as identity theft, by completing the following steps. The target audience is computer users. 1. Check out the Computer Crime Research Center & Cyber Crime--International for information on additional types of crimes associated with computers. You select one type of crime to report on your website. 2. Use sources such as the Internet, magazines, and newspapers to research computer crime keeping in mind the purpose and target audience. 3. Determine the web pages. The site should contain at least four web pages and should be set up in the navigation feature of FrontPage. 4. The new website should be named ComputerCrimeYourName in a folder on your network space. 5. Each webpage should be appropriately named, contain content and include the following: Layout tables for arranging content Consistent colours, fonts, paragraphing, and setup. Use graphics to enhance the appearance and utility of the website. In Paint or Publisher or using a Logo design site do the following:: o Design a simple Logo that represents the computer crime you have chosen (edit an image from clip art or a stock photo site—see resources on website); o Include a banner (containing your Logo). The Page Banner should be used as a header for the top of the website. Suggested size 6.5 inches in width and 0.833 inches in height. This is just a suggestion and you might want to use your own dimensions. o The logo and banner should be incorporated at the top of the web. o Use colours that complement your web. Navigation bars should include a top or side global navigation bar using interactive buttons created in FrontPage, local navigation bar, if needed (side navigation) and bottom global navigation bar using only text and includes copyright.
