Table Captain Roles & Responsibilities
YWCA Benefit Luncheon table captains play a vital role in furthering the mission of the YWCA of Seattle ∙
King County ∙ Snohomish County to advance the quality of life for women of all ages, races and faiths and
their families.
We honor your commitment to the YWCA through your role and responsibility as a Benefit Luncheon Table
Captain. By inviting your friends, family and colleagues to join you at the Luncheon you’ll increase their
awareness of the issues facing women and families in King and Snohomish Counties. As a Luncheon
leader, you spread the enthusiasm for the work of the YWCA to mobilize your guests to participate—through
their charitable giving to the YWCA—in the solutions that support a healthy community and to advance the
quality of life for women of all ages, races and faiths and their families.
Together, all of us will be instrumental in creating a community where all women and families have safe and
stable housing, opportunities to achieve self-sufficiency and freedom from domestic violence and
discrimination. We sincerely thank each table captain for your generous commitment. For more
information, please visit our website at www.ywcaworks.org


Email or phone the YWCA events team at luncheons@ywcaworks.org or 206.490.4378.

For a full table: Invite nine or ten guests who will join you at the Benefit Luncheon and provide
them with a basic understanding of the mission and work of our YWCA. Communicate the

For a co-table: Invite four guests who will join you at the Benefit Luncheon and provide them with a
basic understanding of the mission and work of our YWCA. Feel free to co-table captain with a
friend. Or - if you would like us to match you up with another co-table captain, we are happy to do
so.

Confirm with your guests that they will attend and submit your guest list via email or online to the
YWCA prior to the guest list deadline (3 weeks prior to the luncheon).

Be sure to remind your guests a few days prior to the Luncheon date and be sure that they
received the materials indicating the event location, parking instructions, etc.

Help us thank your guests after the event for joining you in support of the YWCA.
