She states, “It was not God’s proclamation. That final justice that rules the world below makes no such laws.(Quote)” Antigone reminds Creon that just because he is King does not mean that he doesn’t have to follow the law of god. In burying Polyneices, she is honoring the dead. She shows the proper respect to the Gods and justifies her actions in disobeying the law of a King.
