Post Title:
Marketing Assistant
Purpose:
To support the High School Liaison Manager through the College’s external and internal marketing.
Responsible to:
The High School Liaison Manager.
Liaising with:
Relevant staff with cross college responsibilities, eg. Heads of Department, teaching staff and
Enrichment Co-Ordinators.
Working Time:
Full time – 36.25 hours per week. Core working hours Monday-Friday
8:30am – 4.30pm. However, flexibility is essential as some evening work will
be required for which lieu time will be given.
Term Time Only + 1 week.
Grade:
16- 18 (Support Staff Salary Spine)
Salary:
£15,873 - £16,490 pro rata, per annum
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Developing links with partner high schools

Supporting role the 16-19 recruitment and admissions processes

Co-ordinating designated College marketing activities

Designing and producing marketing materials

Reviewing, organising and updating information and resources relating to college transport

Playing a lead role in social media communications – facebook, twitter, youtube

Supporting the management of the College website

Liaising with College staff to source, produce and distribute press releases.

Flexible working which will involve evening working

Attending partner school careers and progression events e.g. careers fairs, open evenings

To undertake staff development where appropriate.
To take part in the College’s Appraisal Process.
Deployment of Staff


To ensure that appropriate arrangements for cover are made when absent.
To work as part of a team and to ensure effective working relations.
Quality Assurance


To ensure the effective operation of quality assurance systems.
To assist with the implementation of College quality procedures, especially through
contribution to the self-assessment process.
Communications


To ensure familiarity with the aims and objectives of the marketing strategy.
To liaise with relevant external bodies as appropriate.
Management of Resources

To contribute to the maintenance of an attractive working environment in your area.
Other




To support the aims and objectives of the College.
To attend meetings as appropriate.
To undertake any other duties the Principal or his designated alternate may reasonably direct
from time to time within the context of the St John Rigby College contract.
