‫מטרת העל של הקורס היא לעמוד על הזיקה בין רגשות וביטויים לבין ההקשר התרבותי בו בני אדם פועלים‪.‬‬
‫במסגרת זו יידון גם המושג ה"ביצוע" (‪ ,)performance‬והקשר בין מושג דרמטורגי זה לבין רגשות‪ .‬הקורס מיועד‬
‫להשיב על שאלות ספציפיות‪ ,‬כג ון‪ :‬מה בין רגשות לסדר החברתי ולסולידריות חברתית? מה בין רגשות לזהות‬
‫עצמית? כיצד כבוד‪ ,‬כעס‪ ,‬בושה‪ ,‬ואהבה מתפרשים תרבותית? מה משמעותה של "עבודת רגש" בתרבותנו? האם‬
‫ובאילו אופנים מתקיימת זיקה בין רגשיות לבין ג'נדר וכוח חברתי? האם רגשיות יכולה להתפרש כחתרנות? שאלות‬
‫נוספות הן‪ :‬מהו "ביצוע"? מה בין מושג זה לעולם התיאטרון? כיצד מגדיר ומכיל ה"ביצוע" ביטויים רגשיים?‬

‫במוקד הקורס התפיסה כי רגשות מעוצבים על ידי התרבות‪ ,‬וכי ה"ביצוע" מהווה מסגרת אנליטית מתאימה לניתוח‬
‫רגשות בזירה התרבותית‪ .‬בין נושאי הקורס‪ :‬הדיו ן הפסיכולוגי ברגשות‪ ,‬מעמדו והשפעתו של המושג תרבות בחקר‬
‫רגשות‪ ,‬משמעותם התרבותית‪-‬חברתית של הרגשות‪ ,‬כבוד‪ ,‬בושה‪ ,‬כעס ואהבה‪ ,‬מאפייניו הפסיכו‪-‬תרבותיים של‬
‫המושג "ביצוע"‪.‬‬
