Security Manager
POSITION OBJECTIVES
To lead and direct the mall and offices security function and to provide the optimal level of
security and safety for life, property and assets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A) Strategies and Plan
 Develop plans and systems which aim to maximize customer safety at all times.
 Establish and deliver safety plans that provide day to day internal and external security of
the mall.
 Prepare a mall security risk management plan annually.
 Work with Mall Management to develop Security strategies that meet the needs of the
mall.
 Work with marketing to co-ordinate Marketing Calendar, events, etc. with Mall
maintenance and security plan.
B) Policies and Procedures
 Clearly communicate and achieve ongoing commitment to security priorities and operating
procedures with internal and external parties.
 Communicate and monitor adherence to internal methodologies and processes.
 Comply with all local safety and building requirements.
C) Budget and Financial Management
 Prepare 5year long term forecasts of expenditure, including periodic updates for security
and safety
 Conduct cost-benefit analysis to support recommendations for security solution and
response plans.
 Undertake financial analysis to expenses to identify cost savings and track budget vs.
actual.
D) External Providers
 Compile tender documents and negotiate with selected supplier/contractors.
 Conduct annual review of all goods and services contracts and undertake annual
negotiation process.
 Ensure security contractors respond in a professional and timely manner to requests for
assistance by customers.
 Manage key contractor and supplier relationships.
 Provide clear instructions and Mall requirements to external providers and contractors.
 Provide on-going supervision of security contract staff.
 Review work performance of contractors to ensure agreed standards is met.

Security Operations
Co-ordinate the mall response to emergency /critical incidents.
Investigate all the Accidents / incidents that occur.
Design and deliver security training for all staff, retailers and contractors.

Ensure security staffs respond in a professional and timely manner to requests for
assistance by customers.
Establish patrolling of the mall on regular basis.
Negotiate with retailers to promote compliance with the mall security arrangements.
Provide regular updates on security incidents and issues.
Liaison with the local police for better support and coordination.
F) Traffic Management
 Oversee the traffic management staff to ensure proper coverage at peak times to keep
vehicular traffic moving throughout the project.
 Develop working relationship with supervisors form the taxi services to ensure taxi service
is provided at a level necessary to serve our customer.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
 Has completed at least 15 years’ experience in hardcore Security and Safety of Shopping
Mall, Large public facility, Retail Security, etc.
 Preferred GCC Experience
EDUCATION BACKGROUND
 Must have completed Bachelor’s Degree
 Security Trainings and professional trainings
 HSE Trainings
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
 Problem solver.
 Highly organized, disciplined, able to multi task
 Team player, well-tempered, capable of working under pressure and following instructions
to the detail
 Management and delegation Skills
 Well adept in mall or building, systems and management
 Good communication and presentation skills
 Smart, proactive and hard working
