1. Eulogy: Speech or special writing to praise someone or something, usually that is deceased.
2. View point: Scholar of Roman Studies at Harvard
3. Audience: Knows Rome fell, but knows little about its accomplishments and lasting
contributions to the world.
4. Title: The Glory of Rome Is Not Forgotten
5. Requirements in three parts:
a. Section I: Briefly summarize the fall of the Roman Empire (starter: The Roman
Empire suffered many problems in its final years.). Summary must have a minimum
of three supporting details.
b. Section II: Highlight the legacies of the Roman Empire (The Roman Empire has
many lasting achievements.). Highlight must have a minimum of five achievements.
c. Section III: Address the question, How does the Empire influence us today? (Today,
the Roman Empire influences us in the following ways.) Provide a minimum of three
examples.
