Job Title: Salary: Hours: Duration: Location: Base: Responsible to: Aim of Post: Development Worker (Projects) £22,293 37 per week (flexible & may include some weekend & evening work.) 31st March 2008 Llandudno Ty Llywelyn, Llandudno. Communities First Co-ordinator To work with residents and others in the regeneration process for the area. To establish and develop projects in response to identified needs. Responsibilities: To consult with people as to their thoughts and aspirations for the future. To establish, with others, services as already identified by the consultation process, and by future consultation. To assist in the formation of the Action Plan for the area. To identify, and bid for, sources of finance for project development. To work closely with the Resident’s Associations To make contact with residents and other suitable volunteers with a view to joint working. To encourage people to volunteer in their own community and further afield. To establish good working relationship with other workers and volunteers in the area. (Community workers, elected members, council officers, Credit Union, Economic Development, local business, environmental groups, Crime Reduction Teams, Health Officials etc), To encourage the use of existing services and facilities if appropriate. To monitor & evaluate the work. To monitor the project spend. Other duties, commensurate with the post and as agreed with line manager. Literate Ability to work as part of a team Ability to work on own initiative Ability to produce written reports Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in English Ability to communicate both orally and in writing in Welsh Counselling skills Ability to work within the ethos of community development work. Ability to monitor project spend Experience: Experience of successful project development work. Experience in completing successful funding bids.
