Scholarship: One (1) scholarship of $1,000
Eligibility: Current P.A.L. Ice Hockey Junior B player planning on
attending college full time (12 or more credits) in
September 2011.

Essay
Application must be mailed to P.A.L. Ice Hockey, Scholarship
Application, 660 Terry Rd, Hauppauge, NY 11788 and be postmarked
by February 21, 2011.
The Scholarship recipient is required to show proof of acceptance to
a College or University as well as evidence of attendance. The
scholarship will be distributed directly to the recipient upon P.A.L. Ice
Hockey’s receipt of proof.
P.A.L. Ice Hockey’s Board of Directors will review the application and
documents submitted by each applicant. Board members may not
vote to confirm any scholarship for himself/herself or any relative.

Essay:
Being a member of the P.A.L. Ice Hockey Junior B team is a tribute to
your hard work and dedication to the game of Hockey. As a member of
this team, you have experienced excellent success and gained national
exposure. You have had the benefit of being coached by an exceptional
coaching staff and have worked extremely hard to meet not only their
expectations but also your own.
As you prepare to take the next step in your life’s journey, you will realize
that life is a mixture of many things. Hockey has been a major part of
your life, but only a part of your overall make-up. Please explain in as
much detail as possible how hockey has changed the way you look at life
and the impact it has made on you as a person.
