2013-2014 Ottawa Centre Minor Hockey Association (OCMHA)
$1,000 Graduating Midget Player Scholarship
The objective of the OCMHA is for young players to have fun, improve their skills and experience hockey
in a co-operative team environment. The OCMHA also promotes balancing this hockey playing
experience with scholastic achievement and social responsibility/volunteer activity.
To encourage these values, the OCMHA is offering one annual $1,000 scholarship to a graduating
OCMHA player in their last year of midget eligibility. To be considered for this scholarship, an applicant
must submit a two-page or 500 word application with the required information to the OCMHA executive
by March 31, 2014. The scholarship is then awarded at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May 2014
with the financial grant being made upon satisfactory graduation from high school and enrolment in fulltime post-secondary education the calendar year in which a scholarship is offered. Typically the award
would be made to a player who has played for the OCMHA for 3+ seasons, but this is not a requirement.
