Essays “If I were in CZ…” ”I’d like to play baseball even in CZ ” By J.H. 16 years old I have been absorbed in playing baseball after school every day and even on holidays in Japan. That’s why I would like to play baseball even if I am in Czech Republic. It’s a pity almost all friends around me in CZ don’t play baseball. Instead they play other sports like football, ice hokey, volleyball and table tennis. If I cannot find members to play baseball with, I will try to show students around me how to play baseball. I will tell them how exciting it is and try to let them understand the pleasure of baseball. Then, I’m sure they will learn to like baseball. By the way, students here can work part time if they want. But in Japan high school students are forbidden to work without the school master’s permission. So working during high school days is a very rare case in Japan. In CZ I want to work in my free time. As my father is an owner of a restaurant and I often help him with working in the kitchen. Though I didn’t get money from my parent by helping him, I will work at a restaurant to get money in CZ. I don’t want to depend on my parents too much for my stay so I will work as much as possible. When I go on to a college I will work more and support myself. While I’m in Czech Republic, I will understand this country more by studying, working and having fun.
