Julius Caesar Final Project Ideas
Individual Projects:
1. Dress up as a character from the play and deliver a dramatic monologue or soliloquy in front of the class. Write
a paraphrase of the monologue as well as one paragraph explaining the situation and significance of the passage
within the play.

Create a poster-size, full-color illustration of a significant scene from Caesar and write a paragraph or poem
describing what’s going on.

3. Group Project (2-4)Create and present a Roman Times newspaper including the following:


10 pts One or two advertisements, a crossword or wordsearch, recipes, reviews of a Roman play or other
entertainment, and/or coverage of a Roman sporting event.
4. Group Project (2-5) Select a scene from the play to perform. The scene MUST contain a conflict.
15pts Scene is introduced by members of the group including Author, Title, Act, Scene and situation
10pts. Group members are easily recognizable as the characters through: nametags, props, costumes, masks
15 pts The scene is handled in a serious manner well practiced and representative of the action
10 pts The scene is closed by each member giving a short recap of why his or her character behaved in the
manner portrayed in the scene
