Trigo 1 Krystal Trigo Mr. Henderson American Literature 7 December 2011 I believe that everyone goes through an experience that will put a big impact on their life. Could be something sad, stressful, happy, or even funny. Unfortunetly mine had to fall in the sad category. It started since I could remember but all went down in the fourth grade. I got my best friend, hero, right hand man taking away from me. My dad! I looked up to my dad more than anybody in the world. I was his little girl trying to spend as much time as I could with him. He would surprise me with something little everyday, and somedays something huge like a puppy, bunny, bike, and much more. We would do hobbies together like shop, go fishing, or just go to work with him. These may not seem like much but they were to this nine year old girl. I didn’t do every hobby of my dads though, unfortuenly he had a hobby that changed his life, his personality, and even his looks. “Drugs” was what mot peole called it. “Stuff” is what my parents called it. I caught on to it by the time I was in the second grade. Everytime my dad saw a friend the words “Do you got stuff” would come out of his mouth. It was quiet obvious of what he was talking about. Even though I knew I never said anything, its not like they would have changed or even listen to me. By the time I was nine my dad got arrested and him nor my family could talk his way out of it. My dad got deported to Portugal months after being in jail. My mom picked me up from school and I got to say goodbye. I would have to admit that this was the worst day of my life. All thatw as going through my head was “why would someone want to take a dad away from a child”. A child that revolved her whole world around him. A child that looked up to him as a hero. Two years have past since the deportation. I got to visit him, best time of my life. Me, my cousins, and my dad all hanging out again. Most parents would go do there own things with the other adults but not my dad. I still believe he is a kid at heart. One of the funniest and funnest person I have ever met
