TODAY’S ACTIVITIES
CLUB RUSH: Come on out to Club Rush on 10th Street today
for to find out about the awesome clubs that meet on Mondays
and Tuesdays. Rush on out at lunch to enjoy the fun!
STUDENT INFORMATION
FANDOM FAIRE: Are you part of a dedicated fandom? If so,
please attend a meeting tomorrow in Room 701 for OCSA’s first
Fandom Faire. OCSA will be holding its very own “Comic-Con,”
Fandom Faire this May, complete with fandom booths with
games, trivia quizzes, and prizes. Anyone can apply to represent
a fandom. You do not need to be part of a club. Applications are
open now and will be available in the Student Services rack for
three weeks.
NHS MEETING: NHS members have meeting this Wednesday at
lunch in Symphony Hall.
OCC SENIOR DAY: Friday is the last day to turn in permission
slips to Student Services for the Orange Coast College Senior
Day field trip! Space is still available. Permissions slips must be
signed by teachers and parents.
GRADUATION SPEECH CONTEST: Have you always dreamed
of speaking at your graduation ceremony? Information is now
available for the Graduation Speech Contest for seniors. Pick up
a flyer from the Student Services rack. Written speeches must be
submitted by Wednesday, April 15.
STATE SEAL OF BILITERACY: Seniors, do you qualify for the
California State Seal of Biliteracy? If so, you could receive a medallion for graduation and a special seal on your OCSA diploma!
Please complete an application and return to Mrs. Shiroma by
Friday, March 13. Applications are in the rack outside of Student
Services.
ENROLLMENT INFO: If you did not attend an enrollment workshop with your social studies, health, or SOAR class, we want to
make sure you know classes must be selected on Aeries along
with the hard copy form. Students who did not attend workshops
will be called in by Student Services this week.
SENIOR SECRETS: Seniors! Do you have a secret to reveal in
the yearbook? The Senior Secrets box is at the reception desk in
SNAPSHOT

PHOTO CONTEST FEBRUARY WINNERS: Congratulations to
the February Photo Contest winners of $15 iTunes gift cards for
their creative conservatory posts. If you have a private account,
you must follow @OCSAspotlight and tag all conservatory posts
with #OCSAspotlight to be considered for future prizes. Judging
categories include Best Promotional, Best Behind-the-Scenes,
Best Lobby, Best Teacher-Submitted, and Most Creative.
FLORAL PARK SCHOLARSHIP: Seniors! Don’t miss this great
scholarship opportunity. Floral Park has a scholarship exclusively
for OCSA seniors regardless of where you live. Applications are
available in Student Services or at floral-park.com and the deadline is March 11.
ASSISTANCE LEAGUE SCHOLARSHIP: The Assistance League
of Orange has general and arts scholarships for seniors in Orange County high schools. Come to Student Services for information or go to alorange.org/scholarships.html. The application
deadline is March 28.
SCHOLARSHIPS DUE TODAY: The State Farm and Middle Class
scholarship applications are due today!
QUEST BRIDGE: High achieving, low income juniors should
consider applying for the Quest Bridge College Prep Scholarship
to receive the preparation needed to get into top colleges for free
or with generous financial aid. College Prep Scholars can also
receive full scholarships to college summer programs. Come to
Student Services for information. Applications are online only at
www.questbridge.org by March 25.
CONSERVATORY INFORMATION
STARTERS/DESSERTS CLASS: Come learn how to make yummy things like Molten Chocolate Cake at the Starters & Desserts
class taught by OCSA’s Chef Mattos on Thursday night, March

GUITAR CONCERT: Let your hair down and get the “Led” at the
Guitar Program’s “Led-Zeppelin Experience” on Saturday, March
14 at 7:30 p.m. or Sunday, March 15 at 2 p.m.
