J-1) American Legion Dept. of NJ Scholarship – offering several scholarships to
graduating seniors who are descendants of a member of the American Legion:
 Two (2) $ 4,000-$1,000 year for four years
 Four (4) $2,000-$1,000 year for two years
 Two (2) $1,000-$1,000 for one year
 One (1) $1,500 John Casey Scholarship for one year

J-2) The New Jersey State League of Municipalities - Louis Bay 2nd Future Municipal
Leaders Scholarship Competition is offering (3) $ 1,000 scholarships. Student
must submit an essay of approximately 500 words, the theme is “What My Municipal
Government Does Best”. Essays must be submitted to your hometown mayor by
March 10, 2015. See Guidance for details.
J-3) NJESA (NJ Electronic Security Association) is offering scholarships to sons and
daughters of active-duty police and fire personnel. Visit www.NJ-ESA.org. Any

J-4) Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation is offering a scholarship program for high school

J-5) ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers) offering (2) $1,000 scholarships to 12th
graders intending to pursue a career in civil Engineering. Applications are available at

J-6) NJ Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial is offering (2) $2,500 scholarships to graduating
seniors. Students MUST visit the NJ Vietnam Veterans’ Memorial. For more

J-7) Hackensack Riverkeeper 2015 Ron Vellekamp Environmental Scholarship Students accepted by a college for the Fall 2015 Semester and plan to major or minor in
one of the natural science may apply. Student must also demonstrate a strong personal
commitment to the environment. See Guidance for details. Deadline is April 22, 2015.
J-8) Silicon Valley Community Foundation 2015 the Juniper Networks’ Engineering
Scholarship is awarding up to $5,000 for students who intend to major in Engineering.
