The online application contains two sections for essays: one for parents and one for
students. To facilitate the expeditious completion of the online application, we
recommend typing your essay responses in Word before beginning the online
application. The Parent and Student Essay Questions are:
Parent Essay
1. Why are you seeking a Catholic, Jesuit education for your child?
2. Discuss Regis Jesuit’s Mission statement with respect to your family
values and spiritual life.
3. Please include any comments you have about your child’s academic
history, learning style, physical or learning disabilities. Documentation of
learning disabilities (testing, IEP, 504 plan) MUST be included with the
application.
Student Essay
1. After reviewing Regis Jesuit’s Mission Statement, please comment why
you believe that Regis Jesuit High School is the best fit for your high
school career?
2. Describe what you hope to contribute to Regis Jesuit High School that will
enrich the school community.
When you come to the section on the online application to complete the Parent or
Student essay, you merely need to open your Word document, copy the text and then
paste into the box on the online application. You will complete this process twice: once
for the Parent Essay and once for the Student Essay.
