The Heron – East Lake Woodlands Country Club
It is with great excitement that we can announce the NEXT BIG CLUB REINVENTION for ELWCC! As
many of you already know, a little over a year ago the Compass Grill was opened, and the response has
been overwhelming. The growth of the club has exploded, and it is so great to see so many new faces.
Hopefully many of you have had a chance to dine with us, and see and feel the fun atmosphere. As a result
of tremendous success of our last Club REINVENTION ClubCorp has decided to AGAIN begin construction
on another million dollar plus project!
The 2016 Club Reinvention for ELWCC will include upgraded pool amenities, renovated tennis building,
cafe, upgraded fitness center, and the addition of a group exercise fitness space. The NEW pool amenities
will include: SplashPad, Mini Golf, Poolside Cabanas, Firepit and Cafe. In addition to these amenities we
will be resurfacing the pool deck, replacing the exterior fencing, and refreshing the landscape of the
tennis/pool facility. ELWCC will be the place to be this summer, and we hope to see many more kids and
families enjoying the club like never before. We are planning on completing these pool amenity projects by
Memorial Day. For residents of ELW you will now have a ‘resort style pool experience’, two championship
golf courses, great restaurant, newly renovated tennis building and state of the art fitness center all in your
own community!
The Tennis building project will include complete renovation of the pro shop, locker rooms, and completion
of a NEW café. All will have a very modern clean look. The New Cafe will have everything from hot and cold
food to a full bar (indoor, outdoor seating, TV’s, music, etc). Project timeline is still uncertain, but we hope to
have it all complete by August! Finally, the current fitness center at the Main Clubhouse will be completely
refreshed. There will be all NEW Equipment, NEW GROUP EXERCISE ROOM, and a new look! This past
year ELWCC started a few Yoga classes in our banquet space, and it has been a huge hit. Now, with this
new Group X room we will be able to offer an elevated experience for Yoga, and also host SPIN classes and
other group exercise classes. All of us at the Club are really excited about what’s to come for 2016, and we
invite all the residents of East Lake Woodlands to come out to see the progress. Please contact our

On a COMMUNITY note, we would like to say thank you to all those who came out for the first ever “Junk in
the Trunk Community Rummage Sale” this past month. The turnout was amazing, and we received a lot of
really positive feedback from the event. Definitely something we will consider doing again in the future!
COMING SOON…ELWCC Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Open House
March 26th 1:00-4:00pm with the Easter Egg Hunt starting at 3:00pm Sharp! There will be complimentary
food and beverage, music, Kidz Zone, and pictures with Easter Bunnies! Also, this is a great chance to
connect with Department Managers, Committees, Clubs within a Club and of course get updated information
on all of the exciting improvements happening at the club. These events are open to the public, and we
hope to see a huge turnout from the residents of ELW.
