TENDER CALL NOTICE
Sealed tenders are invited from Travel Agencies, Transport Operators &
Registered Bus Owners for operation of four numbers of town buses (one number of 52
seaters and 3 numbers of 33 seaters) to be operated inside Paradip township area, i.e.,
from Paradip bus stand to Sector-21 and Rly.Station via Nuabazar, Madhuban, Jagannath
Colony, Bhimabhoi Colony, Brundaban Colony, Atharbanki including Railway Colony,
Udayabata for a period of three years. The bus to be provided should have valid fitness
and permit from RTO, Jagatsinghpur & possess valid Insurance.
Tender documents can be obtained from the office of the Asst. Secretary
(Admn.) on submission of application on any working day from 1030 hrs. to 1700 hrs.
w.e.f. 15.10.2010 to 28.10.2010 with payment of an amount Rs.350/- (Rupees three
hundred fifty) only (non-refundable) in shape of Bank Draft drawn in favour of FA &
CAO, Paradip Port Trust payble at Paradip. The same will be received upto 1300 hrs. on
29.10.2010 in the boxes placed in the office of undersigned and in the entrance gate of
Admn. building and will be opened on the same day at 1630 hrs. in presence of the
tenderers or their authorized representatives.
The participating tenderers shall be required to enclose an EMD (refundable) of
Rs.2200/- (Rupees two thousand two hundred) only (i.e. Rs.550/- per bus) with the tender
in shape of Bank Draft drawn in favour of FA & CAO, Paradip Port Trust. The tenderers
may contact the Assistant Secretary (Admn.), PPT for the above purpose.
The
participating tenderers have to bid for operation of all the total four buses. Biding for part
thereof or single bus will not be considered.
The Travel Agencies, Transport Operators & Registered Bus Owners interested
to have the tender documents may download the Tender documents from the Paradip Port
Trust website i.e., www.paradipport.gov.in and attach the required tender paper cost and
EMD prescribed thereof with their bids.
If the date of receipt of tender happens to be a holiday due to N.I. Act or any
other reasons, the tender documents shall be submitted on the next working day which
would be opened on the same day.
The tenderers shall quote their offered rate @Rs.______________ per month
per Bus payable to Paradip Port Trust for availing infrastctural facilities such as bus stand,
roads etc. The tenderer will bear all expenditure pertaining to all taxes of Government &
other statutory requirements. The highest bidder will be allowed to operate their specified
buses as town bus as per the route chart to be issued from time to time by the undersigned.
The timings shall be fixed by the Management and the bus operators will charge the rate
as fixed by state Govt. for Cuttack and Bhubaneswar Town Bus Services. The operator
will have to obtain valid License/Permission from State Govt. authority as per rule and
will be bound to observe all rules and regulations of Government and Paradip Port Trust.
The authority reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning
any reason thereof.

The POL as would be required for the transportation purpose is to be supplied
by the owners of town bus at their cost including staff payment.
The town bus has to possess up to date road tax deposit receipt, road permit,
fitness certificate, insurance and port entry fee etc.
A suitable substitute bus has to be arranged immediately in the place of the
supplied town bus during any break down so as to render uninterrupted
service without any financial liabilities to Paradip Port Trust.
Any payment made while passing through the check gate/toll gate has to be
borne by the owner of town bus.
The town bus will have to run at 5.00 A.m. from Paradip bus stand to
Rly.station and sector-21 via: Nuabazar, Madhuabn, Jagannath colony,
Bhimbhoi Colony, Brudndanan Colony, Atharabanki including Railwlay
colony, Udayabata after returning though same rout. Again it will start at
7.ooA.M, 9.00A.M. 11.00 A.m.2.30P.M,4.30 P.m,6.30 P.M8.30 Pm
completing 8 up trips. However the department will issue a route chart to each
bus every month and the operator will have to abide by it strictly.
The operator of the buses shall make timely payment to his employees
employed in the bus and maintain registers as required under labor law.
The initial period of contract will be for one year from the date of issue of
work order which may be extended for another two years in a phase manner
each phase containing one year on deposit of required Port dues on rendering
of satisfactory service.
The town bus operator will have to deposit one year’s Port dues in advance,
and before completion of one year the party has to deposit further one year’s
port dues in advance before two months of the expiry period failing which an
amount of Rs.1,000/- will be imposed as penalty for the payment of the dues
after the date of expiry of one year, still if the operator fails to deposit, the
contract will be canceled.
Paradip Port will not be held responsible due to accident, fire, theft etc. if any.
The authority reserves the right to cancel the order at any time without
accepting any liability and assigning any reason thereof.
