Recruited by the Board and CEO to overhaul it’s business practices, design and execute strategies for
significant growth, expand geographical presence and secure large enterprise agreements with
International Oil and Gas Corporations and National Oil Companies. Align the organization for a public
offering (IPO).
President and COO
• Closed several multi-year agreements valued over $100M by transforming the company’s offering from a single product
transactional sale to integrated enterprise solutions sales.
• Lead international and multicultural organization to address diverse market opportunities resulting in sustained

Recruited by CEO Bob Peebler (former CEO of Landmark) to restructure the organization and effect
turnaround from $22.7M loss on $115.6M revenues in 2002. Lead Imaging Systems Group to revenues
of $143.4M in 2003 and $195.5M in 2004, with profits of $9.5M and $24.4M respectively.

• Full responsibility for all operating functions, including the operating divisions, manufacturing, product
development, R&D, engineering, sales, marketing, and human resources.
• Reorganized the company from nine business units to four divisions, and launched major programs to integrate
the businesses. Recruited new management team and successfully transitioned Imaging Systems Group from an
equipment manufacturer to an integrated seismic technology-driven company and realigned operating, sales, and
marketing costs to maximize market penetration and improve top and bottom line results.
• Assisted obtaining $250M in new capital and concluding two major acquisitions (GX Technologies and Concept
Systems) in 2004 that changed the focus of the company and broadened product/service offerings.
• Traveled extensively to China and Former Soviet Union, the primary market for the company’s growth.
• Commercialized two new product offerings for Land Seismic Acquisition and Marine Seabed Systems into global
markets.
• Managed outsourcing of Imaging Systems’ manufacturing, successfully completing the transition from 100% to
10% company internal manufacturing. Significantly reduced fixed costs; reducing manpower requirements, and
improved gross product margins by 20%.

Hand picked by CEO to direct all business operations for the company's technology and service
offerings, including sales and delivery, customer support, and consulting services.
Vice-President Operations, North America (2001 - 2003)
• Developed strategies to close significant Enterprise accounts, including Chevron, Texaco, Unocal, Conoco Phillips,
and Encana, that achieved company mandated growth for the recently acquired Data Management (PetroBank)
and Volume Interpretation (Magic Earth) offerings, resulting significant multi-year Enterprise agreements.
• Grew North America business to over $220M by introducing two major new offerings and negotiating multi-year
agreements, including Trusted Advisor Partnership level relationships with major and independent Oil & Gas
Companies, which yielded significant market share growth and presence.
• Identified and mentored successor for Latin America VP position in early 2001.
Vice-President Operations, Latin America (1998 - 2001)
• Met company’s goal of expanding Latin American regional business by developing and executing strategies
targeted to key accounts; led to 30% plus year-over-year growth and annual sales increase from $20M to over
$80M, including Ministries of Energy, local, national, and international oil and gas companies). Expanded software
sales and established new service and consulting offerings.
• Recruited, put in place, and mentored local management talent in all branches.
• Instrumental in closing the largest Enterprise deal in the company’s history with Pemex, the Mexican national oil
company value over $60M.

SCHLUMBERGER GECO-PRAKLA, Houston
1989 - 1997
One of the world's largest integrated seismic companies, providing comprehensive worldwide reservoir imaging,
monitoring, and development services. Provides the most extensive seismic crews and data processing centers in the
industry. $800M revenues.
Spearheaded and established business operations for the Latin American Region, with direct P&L
accountability for growing the Geophysical Acquisition and Processing business from nil to $80M,
including Data Acquisition Operations, Geophysical Data, and Land, Marine and Transition Zone,
Processing.

Regional Manager (1991 - 1996)
• Member of senior management team that proposed negotiated and closed the first Schlumberger multi-year
integrated field development service contract in Mexico that generated $120M and met goal of increasing
revenues Schlumberger Integrated Project Management offering deploying all the company’s product lines.
• Opened offices in Venezuela, Bolivia, Argentina, Peru, Brazil and Mexico, including recruiting and establishing
management infrastructure.
• Developed marketing and sales strategies for region-wide market penetration.
Land Acquisition Manager (1989 - 1991)
• Played key role in analyzing technology requirements needed to establish Schlumberger Geco-Prakla as a major
player in the Land Geophysical business.
• Performed due diligence on mergers and acquisitions of Delft Geophysical, Sonics, Prakla-Seismos, Seismograph
Services Inc., and Terramarine; managed the integration into Geco-Prakla.
GEOSOURCE INCORPORATED, Houston, TX
1982 - 1989
$800M division of Gearhart Industries, specializing in state-of-the-art Seismic Data Acquisition Systems,
Services, and Data Processing. Acquired by Halliburton Company in 1987.
Initially recruited to establish the company’s operations in Alaska’s Artic Region and rapidly
advanced to positions of increased responsibilities, resulting in elevation to Country Manager.
Country Manager, Ecuador (1988 - 1989)
• Promoted to secure new business and re-establish operations after all prior contracts had been completed.
Secured significant new contracts, including the National Oil Company, CEPE, UNOCAL and BELCO; grew revenue
from startup to $40M.
• Established a Seismic Data Processing Center in Quito to provide final processing of data locally.
Party Chief (1987 - 1988) / Alaska (1982 - 1986)
• Managed first 3D seismic operations in Latin America for a Shell joint venture (Maraven) in Venezuela that
introduced the new generation of Distributed Land Recording Systems in Venezuela. Assigned to a troubled
operation in the western plains of Venezuela and turned it around to become the most profitable crew in the
country.
• Headed crew in the Artic and achieved record-breaking production, high quality data acquisition, crew safety, and
minimal environmental impact. Established innovative survey and communications methodologies (satellite link)
that optimized field optimizations and quality control. Assigned to Processing Operations in Denver, as Processing
Seismologist during the Artic summers of 1985 and 1986, to process data acquired during the prior Artic seasons;
achieved high quality processing by integrating acquisition and processing techniques.
