Upon receiving Land Management degree, went to work for Huffco Petroleum Corporation as a contract Landman and then as in-house Landman. In 1988, formed Summit Exploration Corporation with two other partners to generate and acquire offshore oil and gas prospects for AEDC USA Inc (Arabian Oil Corporation of Tokyo Japan). I was responsible for negotiating the acquisition of the oil and gas prospects, and the economic evaluation of such prospects, and handled all corporate matters. In part through Summit Exploration’s efforts, AEDC invested over $150 million in the Gulf of Mexico. In 1993, joined Gulfstar Energy Inc. as Land Manager. In addition, in 1993, formed Summit Royalty Company as a vehicle to invest royalty income resulting from the success of Summit Exploration. In January of 1997, resigned from the position as Land Manager to manage Summit’s investments that included two motels in the Texas Hill Country, a 700 acre cattle ranch outside Lampasas Texas, various undeveloped commercial tracts of land. Sold real estate holdings in 2006, and joined Ginger Oil Company, a publicly traded Swedish Company, as Vice President - Land in September 2007. Corporate planning to maximize stockholder value through new business opportunities, strategic alliances and investor relations. Worked to develop conventional and unconventional play concepts with a primary focus on exploratory and production opportunities within the continental United States. Negotiated and prepared joint venture agreements, supervised leasing projects, and evaluated new drilling opportunities. Reduced land cost by implementing new property management programs, and outsourcing certain land functions.
