WILLIAM LANE DOUGLAS II graduated from New Mexico Military

Institute in 1947, attended Oklahoma University and Oklahoma State in undergraduate schools and graduated from Oklahoma City University in

1955 with a Law Degree and was admitted to the Oklahoma Bar that year.

He worked as a landman for Sohio and Atlantic Refining (Arco) for 5 years until 1960. He was District Landman for Southwest Gas Producing Co. for

6 years until 1966.

He began his own company, Prospects Brokerage, Inc. in 1966, and has had his own business ever since.

He was co-founder of Damson Oil Corp. (Amex) in 1967 and was the

Exploration Agent for the Washington Gas Light Company, serving the

Washington, D.C./Maryland/Virginia area, for 2 years in 1974 and 1975.

In the 53 plus years of his career, he has been directly and indirectly involved in drilling over 500 wells in south Louisiana. He has personally purchased over 10,000 leases including initial assembly responsibility for almost 200 drilling prospects.

He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Landman

(Certified Petroleum Landman # 1734, since 1981), a member of the

Lafayette Association of Petroleum Landmen, of Louisiana Oil & Gas

Assoc., a member of the Independent Petroleum Association of America

(IPAA) and has served both as a Board Member and on the speaker’s Bureau of that organization.
