ABSTRACT
This short document provides information and instructions for preparing an abstract of about 300 words to be
included in the Book of Abstracts of the 10th HSTAM International Congress on Mechanics. It should be in MS
Word file format (.doc.) or pdf format. The abstract should state clearly the purpose, procedure, results and
conclusions of the full paper and the submission deadline is 1st December 2012.
Follow this order when typing your abstract: Title, Authors, Affiliations, Keywords, Abstract. For more
information, one should consult the complete instructions for preparation of full papers.
The submission of the abstract should be done only by Congress e-mail: 10hstam@dpem.tuc.gr. The best
way
to
label
the
electronic
files
containing
the
abstract
text
material
is
“FirstAuthorName_10hstam_abs.extension

2 GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS
2.1 Text
The abstract must be written in English, A4 paper, single-spaced, justified, with a font size of 10pt, in
Times New Roman. Equations, references, figures and tables should be avoided if possible.
2.2 Margins
The margins must be formatted to 2.5cm on all sides of the paper. The headers and footers must be 2.0cm
2.3 References
In case the authors would like to add references to their abstract, they are advised to follow the instructions
given in the full paper template.
2.4 Submission term and deadlines
Please, send the file by e-mail before 1st December, 2012 to Congress e‐mail: 10hstam@dpem.tuc.gr
Authors will be notified about the preliminary acceptance by 5th January 2013. Submission of abstract by fax is
not accepted.
