Instructor Information:
Mr. Sabatucci earned his bachelor’s degree in 1979 from the University of Texas at Arlington, and holds
a lifetime Texas State Teaching Certificate. He holds Basic, Advanced, Administrative, and Instructor
certifications from Texas Animal Control Association (TACA), and has served on that association’s board
of directors.
Jay worked for the Department of State Health Services in Zoonosis control from 1998 until 2002. He
taught Basic ACO Training to officers from all over Texas, and was a major influence on the curriculum
taught today.
This is an excellent opportunity to obtain your required Basic Training from one of the most imminently
qualified instructors in Texas.
The class is guaranteed. If you fail the test after taking this class, you may re-take the class one more
time for free.

The DSHS Official Basic ACO Training Manual may be downloaded or ordered at

It is highly recommended that you bring either an electronic copy or a hard copy of this manual to the
class. Manuals will not be provided…You must bring your own.
This class does not include the state test, which can only be administered by DSHS personnel. Persons
who complete this class will be issued a letter which must be presented to the state prior to taking the
mandated test. State testing dates may be found at:
